In his current role at FedEx, Cory Pirani works closely with FedEx engineers to determine what parts are appropriate for each fleet type in the company. Currently, he is also a project manager for an active RFID proof of concept and was previously involved in with a proof of concept for 915mHz passive RFID tags. Mr. Pirani has participated with the Air Transport Association to define RFID standards for aircraft applications, with the US Air Force in RFID support technologies, and with Airbus for customer focus groups. Prior to becoming a configuration control specialist, Mr. Pirani was a ramp agent at FedEx where he dealt with weight and balance load adjustment and load planning for 6 & 1/2 years.
