Ramesh Pisipati is responsible for Project Management in the Future Business group at Bayer Material Science (BMS). He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering with a focus on polymer science from Virginia Tech. His 20 years of experience in the plastics industry include R&D and technical marketing at Monsanto Chemical Company and product development, sales and marketing at Bayer Corporation. Mr. Pisipati has worked extensively in the area of optical data storage and holds 10 patents for new products in this area. The Future Business group is responsible for developing new business opportunities for BMS - examples include lightweight composites for transportation, organic electronics for low cost disposable printed electronics, etc. He is currently engaged in the development of durable RFID products for aggressive environments.
