Michael Saunders Mr. Saunders has been dedicated to the air transport industry for the majority of his working life. Initially working for Swissair at both airport operations and subsequently sales & marketing, he left to join SITA, the airline telecommunications provider. There he quickly took on SITA's then nascent CUTE product and directed it to become the leading common use system in the industry. He subsequently moved on as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at ServiceTec, an international support service organization for applications and hardware at airports. He then joined the RFID Company Matrics, Inc. as the Director of Sales for Aviation. Upon the acquisition of Matrics by Symbol, he held a similar global position. Late last year Michael was promoted to his present position in Symbol's Industry Solutions Group responsible for the positioning of Symbol's entire portfolio of products in the aviation vertical. Michael was educated at Queens College of the City University of New York. He also completed MBA studies at Rutgers. He represents Symbol in IATA, Airports Council International's BITCOM Committee and the International Air Cargo Association.
