1.        Program Description / Eligibility
This special promotion is provided by RFID Journal, LLC, 555 Broadhollow Road, Suite 274, Melville, NY 11747.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win a prize. This promotion is open to all legal residents with the exception of those from the following countries: Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older as of Nov. 14, 2007. This promotion is void where prohibited. All entries become the property of RFID Journal and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Employees of RFID Journal, LLC, and/or its parent, subsidiary(ies) and affiliate(s), as well as their family members, are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by federal, state or local laws and/or regulations. The promotion begins at 12:01 EDT on November 15, 2007, and ends at 11:59 EDT on Dec. 15, 2007 ("Entry Period"). Eight prizes will be awarded, one for each recipient with a unique six-digit winning code.

Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of RFID Journal, LLC, whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from this promotion, and all prize claims are subject to verification and the terms of these rules.  At the sole discretion of RFID Journal, LLC, any unclaimed prizes may not be awarded.

2.         How to Enter
This promotion is open to recipients receiving a postcard mailing, and also to those requesting an electronic postcard via our Web site, www.rfidjournalevents.com/live. Limit one entry per person. Limit one prize per e-mail address and/or household, regardless of the number of codes entered.
Each postcard received will have a unique code printed on it. Eight of these unique codes will be randomly selected as prize winners.
The prizes to be awarded are as follows:

One Grand Prize winner will receive a full-conference pass to attend RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, a two-night stay in a standard suite (single occupancy) at the Venetian hotel on April 18-19, 2008, a $250 gift certificate to TAO restaurant in Las Vegas and two tickets to see the Blue Man Group on April 17, 2008, in Las Vegas. Approximate retail value of grand prize: $2,900.  

Two First Prize winners will receive a one-night stay (single occupancy) in a standard suite at the Venetian on April 18, 2008.
Two Second Prize winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to TAO restaurant in Las Vegas.

Three Third Prize winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.  Approximate retail value of all prizes combined: $3,800.

Travel to and from Las Vegas not included in prize.  Accommodations subject to availability.  Certain restrictions may apply. If winner cannot attend conference, The Blue Man Group or stay at The Venetian Hotel on dates specified those parts of the prize may be forfeited. To find out if you are one of the eight prize winners you must either visit www.rfidjournalevents.com/live and enter the six-digit code appearing above your name on your postcard, or call (631) 249-4960, by 11:59 EDT on Dec. 15, 2007.  Winners will be contacted via email and/or telephone.  If a winner cannot be reached within  five days of first notification, prize or prize notification is returned, any winner rejects prize such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries. By entering your code at www.rfidjournalevents.com/live or contacting RFID Journal, LLC, at the telephone number set forth above, you are hereby voluntarily entering this promotion.

Winning codes will be selected at random throughout entry period. Non-winning entries will not be carried over into subsequent prize drawings.

No substitution, transfer or assignment of prize is permitted, except that RFID Journal reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value in the event the offered prize is unavailable. All federal, state and local taxes on prizes, as well as all other unspecified expenses, including meals, gratuities, upgrades, transportation are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Winner is responsible for abiding by guidelines for rooms, tickets and gift certificates at The Venetian Hotel, TAO restaurant, Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Blue Man Group performance.

3.         General Conditions
Promotion participants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of RFID Journal, LLC, including interpretations of these Official Rules, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion. This promotion is governed by the laws of the United States. In addition, all federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

RFID Journal, LLC, reserves the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion it sponsors, any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules or otherwise tampered with any element of this promotion.

By entering this promotion, entrants grant to RFID Journal the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for RFID Journal to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Prize winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release(s) to claim their prizes. Non-compliance with this request may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner, or the non-issuance of an award.

Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or lack of entry from recipients with winning codes during the entry period, may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner, or the non-issuance of a prize.

4.         Disclaimer
No responsibility is assumed by RFID Journal, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives for postcards that are lost, late, damaged, misdirected, stolen, not delivered or delivered after entry period and all such entries will be disqualified. No responsibility is assumed by RFID Journal, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives for lost, late or misdirected entries, invalid addresses or e-mail addresses, or any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries. Proof of submission is not to be deemed receipt by Sponsor.

By entering, participants release and hold harmless RFID Journal, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from, or in connection with, this contest or any prize won.
Entrants assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by their participation herein, as well as the acceptance or use/misuse of any prize, and release RFID Journal, LLC, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (“The Release Parties”) from any such liability. This includes, but is not limited to, claims of personal injury, death and property damage, as well as claims based on violation of publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Sponsor is not responsible if promotion cannot take place due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism.

Each prize is awarded “as is,” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied.

Use of macros, robotic scripts or other forms of automatic entry is prohibited, and any such form of automatic entry will be disqualified.
RFID Journal reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this promotion should any virus, bug or other cause beyond its control corrupt the administration, security. fairness or proper play of this game. In such case, Sponsor reserves the right to select winners from all entries received prior to and/or after action taken by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

If a participant wins more than one prize, he/she shall only receive the first prize won.

Prizes are not transferable, nor are they redeemable for cash.

The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, to a participant’s or other person’s computer relating to or resulting from entering this game, or from downloading materials or software in connection with this game. The Released Parties are not responsible for any technical, telecommunications, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, stolen, misdirected, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed entries, prize claims or electronic communications caused by the user, or by any of the equipment or programming associated by or utilized in this game or by any human, or other error which may occur in connection with this game.

Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this promotion or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action and exclusively by state and/or federal court situated within the County of Suffolk, State of New York, U.S.A., (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred but, in no event, attorneys’ fees; (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages (collectively “special damages”) may be awarded, and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim special damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. New York law, without reference to New York’s choice of law rules, governs this promotion and all aspects related thereto. Entrants who do not comply with these official rules will be disqualified.

5.         Internet
If, for any reason, the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the control of RFID Journal that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, RFID Journal reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. RFID Journal assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications-line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. RFID Journal is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software, or for failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by RFID Journal on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at any Web site, or any combination thereof.

In case of a dispute as to the identity of the entrant, entry will be declared mad by the name of the recipient of the postcard.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, RFID JOURNAL, LLC, RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
