Chris Hook joined Deloitte Consulting in 2004 as an RFID subject matter expert in the RF solutions team. Hook brings to his work 20 years experience in the creation, development and application of RFID products and systems. He was responsible for some of the pioneering RFID work conducted by Eureka Systems in England applying RFID in diverse market segments. He is credited as being inventor of the first RFID system to achieve simultaneous identification of tags. At Texas Instruments, Hook led the team that created Tag-itŪ smart label technology. He was elected to the AIDC100 in 2004.
Greg Gilbert is a recognized thought leader in the RFID industry. Gilbert co-authored and developed Manhattan Associates' innovative and award-winning RFID in a BoxTM offering and oversees the direction and development of the company's RFID offerings, as well as the integration of the technology across all Manhattan products. Gilbert participates in the EPCglobal software action group, the Alien Partner advisory council, the Microsoft RFID Partner advisory council and the Microsoft technical advisory council.
Steve Georgevitch has over 19 years of aerospace operations experience. Recently, he has led the Boeing Company's advancement of RFID technology to support supply chain management. He works closely with the Department of Defense AIT teams and is responsible for research and development of technologies and processes to support the needs of Boeing's supply chain organization.
Graham Gillen has over 16 years of experience delivering software and services in diverse industries such as transportation and logistics, CPG and pharmaceutical manufacturing and high tech manufacturing. Gillen currently is responsible for launching the application developer's program to help application developers learn how to integrate to the EPCglobal Network.
Tom Gibbs is the director of worldwide strategy and planning in Intel's solutions market development group. Gibbs' diverse experience includes managing the group responsible for developing the multiple target tracking mode for the F-14 advanced weapons group; the sales and marketing of massively parallel computer systems; and developing and executing cooperative research and development agreements with the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency and the Department of Energy. Gibbs has served on the President's Information Technology Advisory Council for open source computing. He is a graduate in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic University and was a member of the graduate fellowship program at Hughes Aircraft.
Edward Gonsalves is responsible for business development efforts for Philips Semiconductor's identification products in North America. Gonsalves brings to his work over 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry, and has held a number of technical, marketing and sales positions. He holds seven patents and has published technical papers.
Bill Hardgrave is founder and director of the RFID Research Center at the University of Arkansas. Hardgrave has worked extensively on a variety of RFID projects with companies from the retail, manufacturing, transportation and information industries. His current RFID research focus includes the technology's influence on out-of-stocks and RFID-enabled efficiency gains for supply chain processes; data analytics - filtering based on business rules; and technology deployment including read rates and testing.
Carey Hidaka has over 12 years of experience in wireless communications. He has most recently been involved as a RFID subject matter expert, and he leads IBM implementation and deployment activities for cross industry customer pilots. Hidaka has authored white papers on wireless and RFID.
Bernie Hogan oversees UCC's information technology systems, and he plays a pivotal role in providing technical direction and strategy. Hogan is an expert within the areas of distributed processing, telecommunications and electronic commerce. Prior to joining the UCC, he served as vice president of operations and communications in the information systems division of Saks Fifth Avenue. Mr. Hogan has made contributions to the retail industry through his work with the National Retail Federation, the International Mass Retailers Association (IMRA) and the Retail Systems Alert group.
Anthony Higginbottom is the RF implementation leader for Deloitte Consulting's RF solutions practice. He has over 12 years of consulting experience. Over the past several years, Higginbottom has focused on business case development, mandate compliance, business process change and RF implementation, and works across industries with many Fortune 50 companies.
Mike Hirshland is a general partner with Polaris Venture Partners, a diversified venture capital firm with over $2 billion under management and an active player in the RFID space. The firm has significant investments in RFID companies including Matrics and Impinj. Hirshland represents Polaris on the boards of Avaki, BlackArrow, Frictionless Commerce, Narad Networks, and Q1Labs. He formerly served as chairman of Ucentric Systems.
