	Edward Schneider is the founding general partner and a director of Quan Ventures, an active investor in the RFID sector. Schneider has implemented a top-down strategy of investing in emerging hardware IT niches. Prior to founding Quan, he managed equity mutual funds and an external venture capital portfolio at Lloyds TSB Bank and was an entrepreneurial founder of a Geneva-based technology start up. He holds an M.I.M. from the American Graduate School of International Management and a B.A. from Emory University.

	Charles Nardi Information Officer, Commercial Systems Purdue Pharma L.P.
	Chuck Nardi is the information officer of commercial systems for Purdue Pharma, a leading pain management pharmaceutical manufacturer and recently led the company's RFID initiative to meet the Wal-Mart C2 mandate at item level. Previously, Nardi served as Purdue's director of ERP and finance systems, managing SAP implementation. Prior to that, he was responsible for supply chain management, sales and operations planning, and financial analysis at Crompton Corporation, and also led Crompton's business transformation SAP ERP initiative in Europe. Nardi chairs the pharmaceutical and life science SAP user group and is a member of EPCglobal's health care business action group.

	Dr. Abbott D. Weiss Senior Lecturer, Logistics and Supply Chain Management Massachusetts Institute of Technology
	Abbott Weiss designs and executes powerful business solutions integrating global transportation, logistics, order fulfillment, manufacturing, customer services, planning and materials systems. A consultant and a lecturer at MIT, Weiss' recent work concentrates on implementation of supply chain systems, including RFID. Previously, Weiss led a professional services business for i2 Technologies, a provider of advanced supply chain software; served in senior management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation; and co-founded Logistics Systems. Weiss holds a Ph.D. from Harvard Business School and an M.S. in management from MIT. He completed undergraduate work in naval architecture and marine engineering at Webb Institute.

	Mike O'Shea has been with Kimberly-Clark for 25 years and is currently the company's director of corporate auto identification and RFID technologies. O'Shea leads K-C's global RFID efforts, including pilots and implementations to prepare for global deployment of RFID into the company's business processes. He serves as industry co-chair of EPCglobal's fast moving consumer packaged goods action group, helping to define the end user requirements in the CPG value chain and also sits on the EPCglobal business steering committee. 	Kenneth Porad Program Manager, Automated Identification Program Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group
	Kenneth Porad is responsible for overall program management for bar coding and the marking of parts within Boeing's commercial airplanes group. He is the Boeing engineering representative to the Air Transport Association's task force which developed the industry standard bar code format. Porad's currently focus is establishing an aviation industry standard for radio frequency identification of parts and the certification of their safe use on commercial airplanes. Porad joined Boeing in April 1980, and has held positions within engineering and management in both the aircraft and missile systems and commercial airplanes business units. He holds a B.S. from Southern Illinois University and an M.S. degree from the University of Southern California.

	Jason Sellman is an analyst with the U.S. Social Security Administration, and he has automated and streamlined many workflows improving the efficiency of inventory and warehouse operations. 	Stavro Prodromou joined Alien Technology as chief executive officer in 2002. Prior to joining Alien, Prodromou served as president and CEO of Peregrine Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Systems. He was the founder of Poqet Computer, which developed and sold the world's first battery-powered MS-DOS palmtop computer, and of Palo Alto Digital Systems, a technical services firm specializing in power-managed portable computers. He also served in executive management positions at Fairchild Semiconductor, Mattel Electronics, Texas Instruments and GE. Prodromou holds a B.S.E.E. from Rutgers University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.

	Arno Penzias, Ph.D. Venture Partner New Enterprise Associates
	Arno Penzias is a venture partner with New Enterprise Associates. From the 1982 breakup of the Bell System to the formation of Lucent Technologies, Penzias headed the legendary research organization of Bell Labs. Awarded the 1978 Nobel Prize in physics for his work in radio astronomy, Penzias is also the author of two books on the impact of information technology on business and society. A member of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering, Penzias holds a B.S from City College of New York and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.

	Sanjay Sarma, Ph.D. Co-Founder, MIT Auto-ID Center Chief Technology Officer, OATSystems
	Sanjay Sarma is credited with defining and developing many of the standards and technologies that form the foundation of the commercial RFID industry and he is a leading expert on real-world RFID deployments. Prior to joining OATSystems, Sarma was a member of the faculty at MIT, where he co-founded the Auto-ID Center in 1999. Sarma currently serves on the board of governors of EPCglobal. He is the author of numerous publications in computational geometry, virtual reality, manufacturing, RFID and embedded computing. Sarma holds an M.E. from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.

	Patrick Reilly is experienced in semiconductor, mechanical, Internet and software patent prosecution. Reilly founded the Intellectual Property Society, and serves as its chief executive officer. He is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. 	Tom Ridge Former Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Former Governor of Pennsylvania
	In October 2001, Tom Ridge was sworn in as the United States' first Office of Homeland Security Advisor. He later became the first cabinet Secretary of a brand-new Department of Homeland Security where he was charged not only with leading a national effort to make the United States more secure but also integrating 180,000 people from some two-dozen agencies. While attending law school, Ridge was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam. After returning to Pennsylvania, Ridge completed his law degree and was in private practice before becoming assistant district attorney in Erie County. He was elected to Congress in 1982 and served in five successive Congresses before becoming the Governor of Pennsylvania in 1995. Ridge completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University in 1967.
