  Investing in RFID Preconference

RFID Journal LIVE! 2006 features several pre-conference seminars that provide in-depth RFID information on a specific aspect of RFID. Attendees can choose to participate in one of these prior to the opening of the main conference program.

Investors have heard a lot of hype about RFID. Yet the reality is that some companies that soon will earn investors a high return on investment are starting to emerge and stake out market-leading positions. At this preconference, experts will provide an overview of the technology involved, the growth of the RFID industry, and metrics for evaluating possible investments. Then, some of the leading private companies in this burgeoning industry will make presentations about the opportunities they see for success.

12:00 pm Preconference seminars open with working lunch

12:00 pm General Session: RFID Basics

The session also includes a very brief overview of the EPCglobal Network, the future of ISO standards, ETSI reader regulations and the latest standardization efforts worldwide. Yet others say the industry is growing even faster than earlier predictions. How big is the market today and what's the outlook for the next five years?
