Professor J.T. Cain received the B.S., M.S. and PhD degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in 1964, 1966, and 1970. He is currently a professor of electrical engineering and computer engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. His current research interests are in the System-on-a-Chip area with emphasis on embedded systems and RFID Systems. In addition to his research, he has been an active contributor to and office holder in a variety of professional organizations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 1995 president, the Computing Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB)co-founder and 1988-1989 president. Professor Cain is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of CSAB, and a member of the ACM, ASEE, and Sigma Xi. |
