Jim Nielsen oversees strategic research for end-use and enterprise
technologies as they may apply to Shaw in the coming three to seven years.
His core focus is in determining the need for technologies that will be
meaningful to the business sectors within his company, as well as promoting them
through partnership with those business units. Mr. Nielsen established a
team in 2003 to begin reviewing the business benefits of RFID Class 0 and
Class 1 tags, and continues to oversee the technology portions of new RFID
opportunities.
