Dean Orem graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in industrial management. He started his career with Armstrong World Industries' carpet division, which was purchased by Shaw Industries in 1989. Since then, he has held positions with Shaw in manufacturing, production planning and distribution. Dean resides in Rocky Face, Georgia, with his wife and two daughters.
