We have a number of general sessions including top executives from Proctor & Gamble, Sam’s Club, Motorola, Airbus and IBM. Additional keynoters will be added in the coming months. Please visit the event Web site for a complete list.
How many speakers will you have?
More than 150. Two-thirds of those will be end users presenting their experiences and lessons learned in deploying RFID technologies in their enterprises; academics working on applied research; or other objective experts. Other speakers will include consultants with hands-on experience, as well as venture capitalists, technology providers and other experts.

What is the EPC JAG meeting?
EPCglobal has partnered with RFID Journal to co-locate its spring Joint Action Group (JAG) meeting with RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas. JAG meetings serve as a platform to bring together EPC/RFID end users and technical experts to address real-world business challenges. The goal of the JAG is to establish business requirements and use cases across multiple industries to facilitate supply chain efficiency and solve business challenges. The ultimate result of JAG member collaboration is EPCglobal standards.
Who may attend the EPCglobal JAG meeting?
EPCglobal subscribers in good standing may attend the JAG meetings. Some sessions require the submission of IP Policy and Opt-in Agreements. These sessions are noted on the agenda and registration. Visit www.rfidjournalevents.com/live for more information.
How to register for the EPCglobal JAG meeting:
EPCglobal subscribers must register separately with EPCglobal if they would like to attend the JAG meeting. All EPCglobal subscribers attending the meeting are entitled to a 10% discount on any pass to RFID Journal LIVE! 2008. What is the Sam’s Club Supplier Meeting?
Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, is holding a private meeting with its suppliers on April 16, 2008, to discuss its EPC initiative. The meeting will be held in conjunction with RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Suppliers participating in the meeting are welcome to attend, at no cost, a special EPC Compliance and Benefit Training course co-produced by EPCglobal North America and RFID Journal. In addition, RFID Journal is extending a special 15% discount to all Sam’s Club suppliers interested in attending RFID Journal LIVE! 2008.

What are my registration options?
We strongly recommend you select the Conference + Preconference Pass, your “all access” pass to every minute of RFID Journal LIVE! 2008. The Conference + Preconference Pass provides the flexibility to attend all aspects of the conference and exhibition, including keynotes, meal functions and receptions, preconference seminars, general and breakout sessions. This pass is competitively priced to give you the best value for your conference dollars.
You can also register for one of the following:
- Conference Pass: Provides access to all aspects of the Main Conference, including the opening keynote and welcome reception on Wednesday, April 16, plus all meal functions on Thursday and Friday.
- Preconference + Exhibits Pass: Provides access to one preconference seminar and the opening keynote and welcome reception on Wednesday, April 16, plus the exhibits, keynotes and general sessions on Thursday and Friday, and meal functions served in the exhibit hall.
- One-Day Conference Pass: Provides access to all aspects of the Main Conference on either Thursday, April 17, or Friday, April 18 (your pick), plus all meal functions on the selected day.
- Exhibits Only Pass: Provides access to the exhibits, keynotes and general sessions on Thursday and Friday, as well as meal functions served in the exhibit hall. It does not provide access to the opening keynote or welcome reception on Wednesday.
Can I combine conference passes?
No, conference passes are not combinable. If you are interested in a Preconference Seminar Pass and One-Day Conference or Exhibits Only Pass, we recommend you purchase a Conference + Preconference Pass. If you are interested in a One-Day Conference Pass and an Exhibits Only Pass, we recommend you purchase a Conference Pass.
Do I have to choose which tracks I would like to attend during the conference when I am registering?
No. You are free to attend any sessions in any tracks throughout the conference. Only preconference seminars must be pre-selected at the time of registration.
If I register for an Exhibits Only or One-Day Conference Pass, can I attend the keynote and opening reception on Wednesday night?
No, your pass does not provide for access to any of the programming or social functions on Wednesday.
If I register for a Preconference Pass, can I attend the event on Thursday and/or Friday?
Yes, your Preconference Pass also provides access to the exhibits, keynotes and general sessions on Thursday and Friday, as well as meal functions served in the exhibit hall.
Can I register for a preconference seminar at the conference venue?

Yes. You may register for a preconference seminar on site; however, space for the seminars is limited, and we cannot guarantee you will be able to get into the seminar of your choice. To ensure availability, it is best to register early.

When should I pay for the conference?
Payment must be received prior to the conference. Discounts are available for early registrations.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Groups registering three (3) or more employees from the same company are eligible for a team discount of 20 percent off each registration, provided that the 3 or more employees are on the same registration, and that one form of payment is provided for the group. Please note that team discounts apply to Conference + Preconference and Conference Passes only, and are not combinable with any other discounts. How can I obtain a receipt for my credit card payment?
When you pay by credit card through this Web site, you will automatically receive an electronic receipt. If you choose to pay by check, we will mail you a receipt.
I have two discount offers. Can I combine them?
No, discount offers cannot be combined. Use whichever discount code will give you the best price.

CANCELLATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS
What if I register and need to cancel later on?
If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, you should send a written notice to LiveHelp@rfidjournal.com no later than April 4, 2008. Upon receipt, we will issue a credit toward a future event produced by RFID Journal LLC, minus a 25% administrative fee. This credit may be used for one year from the first day of the 2008 event, at any subsequent RFID Journal LLC conference. No credits will be issued after April 4, 2008.

Substitutions will be accepted only with the written permission of the original registrant, and with the approval of RFID Journal. All substitutions must be received in writing and e-mailed to LiveHelp@rfidjournal.com by April 4, 2008. If wish to provide a substitute after April 4, your substitute must also bring written authorization from you to the conference registration desk.
How long does the conference last?
The preconferences begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 16. The conference starts with a keynote on Wednesday at 4:30 pm, ending at 4:00 pm on Friday.

HOTEL, TRANSPORTATION & MEALS
Is there a discount on accommodation at the Venetian for attendees?
Yes. We have negotiated a special rate of $249 per night at the Venetian for single or double occupancy. The cost of the hotel accommodation and travel is not included in the registration fee. Although this special rate is available until March 25, we strongly recommend you book your room as early as possible, as the conference hotel room block has sold out early in previous years. Is there transportation provided from the airport?
Transportation is not provided by the organizer. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the hotel is approximately $15.
Car rental is also available at the airport through most major rental companies.
Are meals included?

It depends upon which pass you register for. For attendees purchasing a Conference Pass, most meals are included, such as the opening reception on Wednesday, and breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday. To determine meal accommodations for your specific pass, click here.
GENERAL CONFERENCE QUESTIONS
When will I receive my conference material?
Your badge, program guide and other materials will be distributed on the first morning of the conference. You will receive a pre-event e-mail from us with other logistical details about the venue and transportation.
Will all the speaker presentations be available on the Web after the event?
After the conference, we will post presentations on the event Web site, then e-mail attendees a URL, user name and password enabling them to download the presentations. Please note that not all speakers give permission for their presentations to be posted. The copyright for this material belongs to the speakers, and information cannot be reused without permission.
What should I wear?
The dress code at the conference is business casual.
Will I receive any information from you in the mail?
After the conference, you may receive brochures on related topics from time to time.
Can I get a copy of the attendee list, either before the event or onsite?
