Dr. Richard E. Billo founded U.T. Arlington's RF Innovation and Technology Center, and is named as the inventor on two patents. His biometrics recognition technology is deployed at every U.S. port of entry. In 1999, Dr. Billo conducted tests for passive RFID technology, leading to the first UHF frequency being selected by the American National Standard for passive RFID.
