AIDC 100 Strategic RFID Workshop Radio frequency identification is part of a broader category of technologies that fall under "automatic identification and data capture," or AIDC. Because other AIDC technologies, including bar codes, have been so successful, AIDC professionals have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about the pitfalls of implementing systems, the course standards development takes, ways of leveraging the new technology with legacy systems and how to take advantage of emerging opportunities to improve the synergy within and across business functions based on a variety of automatic identification technology solutions. This uniquely interactive workshop is offered to augment the other "technically-focused" vertical market pre-conference sessions to allow end users to send a team member to understand the "strategic" approach to RFID technology adoption. Brought to you by the AIDC 100 organization of professionals who have significantly contributed to the growth and advancement of the AIDC industry, this workshop will provide you with insight on how you can avoid problems and save implementation costs by understanding the parallels of RFID by way of the lessons learned through the adoption of bar codes. These advances could soon make it possible to print RFID transponders at a very low cost, thereby ushering in an era of ubiquitous RFID. This co-located conference, produced by IntertechPira, will bring together leading experts and companies focused on printed electronics for radio frequency identification. The purpose of the event will be to update RFID technology providers, systems integrators and end users regarding the latest developments in printed electronics for RFID, and to show how printed electronics can be used today to create low-cost tags. RFID in Aerospace Workshop The RFID in Aerospace Workshop will provide a unique opportunity to understand the fundamentals of RFID technology in relation to the aerospace sector. Participants will take away key learnings in the following subject areas: technology basics (including overviews of physics, hardware and software), business and use cases of RFID for aerospace and defense, and important standards and regulations that are key to effective deployments. Additionally, participants will learn about aviation-specific applications of RFID and successful in-service evaluations that have been conducted. The workshop will conclude with an understanding of the recently published FAA Advisory Circular, and the AS5678 performance testing standard. This workshop will be taught by industry-recognized technical subject-matter experts. No prerequisites or prior experience are necessary in order to attend.
