Get RFID Professional Institute Certified

The RFID Professional Institute was founded in 2012 to develop standardized certification examinations to promote professionalism in the radio frequency identification industry. The organization will offer the RFID Professional Associate Certification exam at this year's RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition. RFID4U is offering certification training, enabling attendees to gain the knowledge needed to pass the exam and then become certified.

Those who pass the beta exam will receive an RFID Professional Institute certificate.

The certification exam costs $150. Tests will be held during RFID Journal LIVE! 2016, at the Orlando County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla., on May 4, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, and on May 5, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. To register, select the RFID Professional Institute Certified Associate Exam when you register for RFID Journal LIVE! 2016. You will be asked to select the exam time of your preference.

If you select the Fast-Track RFID Certification Training Pass, the exam fee is included in the registration fee.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the value of being certified?
RFID Professional Institute credentials will indicate to potential employers that the holder has the requisite knowledge and skills needed to perform certain tasks, depending on the level of certification. The first certification, for an RFID Professional Institute Certified Associate, is designed to demonstrate that the credential holder has a broad understanding of RFID concepts across all forms of radio frequency identification (active, passive and battery-assisted), as well as the many frequencies, protocols and standards available. A roadmap of future certifications planned is posted on the RFID Professional Institute's website.

Who created the International RFID Professional Institute?
The RFID Professional Institute was founded by several leaders in the RFID industry who believe an investment in forming such a not-for-profit organization focused on education, research, and certification will benefit both RFID professionals and the general public. Why do I need to pay $150?
The fee will cover the materials the RFID Professional Institute is preparing for the exam, administrative fees and the cost of mailing certificates to those who pass. It will also help to cover some of the cost of developing the exam.
