Supply Chain/Inventory Management: RFID Is Fit to Track Clothes International apparel and footwear retailers are moving forward with deploying RFID in the supply chain and in stores. German retailer Kaufhof Warenhaus has tested RFID to track clothes for the past three and a half years ago . The company explains the benefits of using RFID in both their supply chain and in their stores to manage inventory and replenishment. Among the benefits Kaufhof has found is cutting the time it takes to scan the contents of a delivery into inventory by 22 times. Lemmi Fashion, a German children's wear manufacturer, began tagging 100% of its products in 2004, enabling the company to increase its productivity and greatly reducing costs within one year of deployment. This session will highlight how international apparel and footwear retailers are moving forward with deploying RFID in the supply chain and in stores.
