I've been an admirer of Jill Konrath for the past few years, ever since I was introduced to her by Keith Sheardown, formerly of Bombardier Transportation. Jill wrote a book titled Selling to Big Companies, in which she articulates a clear, coherent and effective strategy for small companies—especially those with new technologies—that want to sell to Global 1000 companies.

I invited Jill to speak to exhibitors at our RFID Journal LIVE! 2010 conference, to help them do a better job of selling their products (see What End Users Want From RFID Vendors and RFID Journal to Feature 'Selling RFID to Big Companies' Workshop). That same year, she participated in a 30-minute RFID Journal teleseminar (see Jill Konrath Discusses How to Sell RFID to Big Companies and Selling RFID to Big Companies).

I am still on Jill's e-mail list because she always has great stuff to share. Recently, she sent out an e-mail titled "How to Quickly Position Yourself as a Trusted Advisor," containing a link to a short video. I want to share this video, as I think every company exhibiting at next month's RFID Journal LIVE! 2014 conference would have a better event if they followed her simple tips.
