End-user case studies will explain the benefits that RFID is delivering to construction, mining, gas and oil firms, and will outline the challenges that must be overcome to achieve such benefits. The use of all types of RFID, including active and passive systems, will be explored, and speakers will reveal how RFID can be combined with GPS and other technologies to create real-time visibility.

Following the event, the Global RFID Committee for Oil & Gas, established in May 2013, will host the RFID in Oil & Gas Standards Workshop on Aug. 14. The workshop's purpose is to establish committees and a framework for achieving its goals.
