Golf Tournament

April 30, 2006 — Silverstone Golf Club, Las Vegas

On the opening day of RFID Journal LIVE! 2006, RFID Journal is proud to host the second annual Mike Sullivan Memorial Golf Tournament at the breathtaking Silverstone Golf Club in Las Vegas. All proceeds from the event will go to the Mike Sullivan Memorial Scholarship, created under the Boston Scholars Program to help underprivileged students in the Boston area attend college.

Sponsors of RFID Journal LIVE! can also become sponsors of the golf tournament and invite their customers to play as well. To learn about these sponsorship opportunities, visit the Mike Sullivan Memorial Golf Tournament Web page, or e-mail Julia Perkins of Boston Scholars.

If you’d like to join us for a round of golf on a stunning Las Vegas course, followed by a networking dinner, you can sign up now. The $300 fee will go to the Mike Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Fund and is tax deductible (minus the value of the green’s fee).

To sign up, go to http://www.bostonscholars.org/MikeSullivanGolf.htm. You can pay online and will receive a confirmation via e-mail.

This is a great opportunity for RFID Journal and technology providers to give something back to the RFID community.

About the Mike Sullivan Memorial Scholarship

In 2005, in memory of their beloved friend and RFID visionary, Mike Sullivan, several executives at Gillette partnered with Boston Scholars to create the Mike Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Fund. Starting with the inaugural tournament in September 2005, they raised $20,000, which will be used to fund several Mike Sullivan Scholars through the Boston Scholars Program. Last year's success was largely due to the strong individual and corporate support from leaders in the RFID industry, which shows Mike's lasting personal and professional impact and influence. By partnering with RFID Journal to open the RFID Journal LIVE! 2006 Conference & Exhibition with this year's golf tournament, Mike's friends hope to move closer to their goal of creating an everlasting endowment in his honor. About the Boston Scholars Program
The mission of the Boston Scholars Program is to open doors for disadvantaged youths through educational opportunities. We achieve our mission by granting scholarships to meritorious Boston-area students who have demonstrated a pressing financial need, and by pairing these "Boston Scholars" with mentors from the Boston professional community who share similar academic and professional interests. The Boston Scholars Program opens the door to new educational opportunities and provides the positive influences necessary to guide our scholars through the challenges of high school, with the help they need to uncover a world of opportunities they never thought possible.
