Dr. Noel P. Greis is director of the Center for Logistics and Digital Strategy and professor of operations at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Greis is an expert in the area of logistics and supply chain management, and advises companies on the development of global strategies for sourcing and distribution. The Center's new "Intelligent Enterprise Initiative" helps industry leverage advances in digital technology such as intelligent software and RFID to redesign their business processes to be more real-time and event-driven in complex global markets. Dr. Greis is a co-founder of GLORI, the Global Logistics Research Initiative, a consortium of 10 universities worldwide that conduct collaborative applied logistics research. Dr Greis is also the coordinator of the North Carolina Consortium for Logistics Education (NCCLE) that is developing new educational and curriculum materials for logistics education. Dr. Greis received her Ph.D., M.S.E. and M.A. degrees in engineering from Princeton University and her B.A. in mathematics from Brown University.
