EPCglobal Joint Action Group (JAG) Meeting
April 15-18, 2008 • Las Vegas

EPCglobal has partnered with RFID Journal to co-locate its spring Joint Action Group (JAG) meeting with RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

JAG meetings serve as a platform to bring together EPC/RFID end users and technical experts to address real-world business challenges. The goal of the JAG is to establish business requirements and use cases across multiple industries to facilitate supply chain efficiency and solve business challenges. The ultimate result of JAG member collaboration is EPCglobal standards.

Industries actively involved include:

  • Fast-moving consumer goods
  • Apparel, fashion and footwear
  • Consumer electronics
  • Media and entertainment
  • Transportation and logistics
  • Aerospace and defense

Who May Attend:
EPCglobal subscribers in good standing may attend the JAG Meetings. Some sessions require the submission of IP Policy and Opt-in Agreements. These sessions are noted on the agenda and registration.

EPCglobal subscribers must register separately with EPCglobal if they would like to attend the JAG meeting. All EPCglobal subscribers attending the meeting are entitled to a 10% discount on any pass to RFID Journal LIVE! 2008. Packaging Discussion Group
The objective of the Packaging Discussion Group is to generate enough interest in multiple industries for the practical application of RFID in the packaging industry. This could lead to the formation of an EPCglobal standards group called a Joint Requirements Group, that will develop requirements for a consolidated set of standards and guidelines for the these RFID applications. These are intended for packaging industry, manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

Additionally, initiatives of interest to the solution provider community will be announced.

This session is limited to end-user companies (subscribers and non-subscribers), trade association and GS1 member organizations.

The EPCglobal community has created numerous standards and outlined an IT architecture framework to enable companies to share EPC data in a common and secure format. This session will explain the standards that have been promulgated, the overall architecture in which they are implemented and how companies can use the standards and the architecture to improve their supply chain operations.
