The entire focus of the conference is on helping companies large and small use RFID to solve business problems, reduce costs and increase sales.

Who should attend?
RFID Journal LIVE! is designed to meet the educational, buying and networking needs of executives and technologists in all industries. The content is geared to address the needs of businesspeople in information technology, supply chain management, operations, manufacturing, transportation/logistics and warehouse management, as well as anyone else charged by their organization to learn about or purchase RFID products and solutions. RFID Journal LIVE! features eight tracks to meet the educational needs of attendees with all levels of knowledge and executives in key industries, in-depth preconference seminars targeting specialized RFID applications and the world's largest exhibition of RFID vendors.

Who are your keynote speakers?
We have a number of general sessions including top executives from Proctor & Gamble, Sam’s Club, Motorola, Airbus and IBM. Additional keynoters will be added in the coming months. Please visit the event Web site for a complete list.

What is IEEE RFID 2009?
IEEE RFID 2009 is the third in a series of annual conferences dedicated to addressing the technical and policy challenges in the areas of radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies, their supporting large-scale distributed information systems, and their applications.

The 2009 IEEE International Conference on RFID, co-located with RFID Journal LIVE! 2009, will attract leading researchers, developers, integrators, and visionaries to discuss and expand their knowledge of technologies, systems, networks, algorithms, and applications of RF-based wireless communications and identification systems.

The Conference will take place on April 27 and 28.

AIDC 100 Strategic RFID Workshop
Radio frequency identification is part of a broader category of technologies that fall under "automatic identification and data capture," or AIDC 100. Because other AIDC 100 technologies, including bar codes, have been so successful, AIDC 100 professionals have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about the pitfalls of implementing systems, the course standards development takes, ways of leveraging the new technology with legacy systems and how to take advantage of emerging opportunities to improve the synergy within and across business functions based on a variety of automatic identification technology solutions.

This uniquely interactive workshop is offered to augment the other "technically-focused" vertical market pre-conference sessions to allow end users to send a team member to understand the "strategic" approach to RFID technology adoption. Brought to you by the AIDC 100 organization of professionals who have significantly contributed to the growth and advancement of the AIDC 100 industry, this workshop will provide you with insight on how you can avoid problems and save implementation costs by understanding the parallels of RFID by way of the lessons learned through the adoption of bar codes.

The Workshop will take place on April 27.

Printed RFID Conference
As companies make advances in printing electronic components once etched into silicon, many are looking to create low-cost RFID tags where the integrated circuit and antenna are printed. These advances could soon make it possible to print RFID transponders at a very low cost, thereby ushering in an era of ubiquitous RFID.

This co-located conference, produced by IntertechPira, will bring together leading experts and companies focused on printed electronics for radio frequency identification. The purpose of the event will be to update RFID technology providers, systems integrators and end users regarding the latest developments in printed electronics for RFID, and to show how printed electronics can be used today to create low-cost tags.

The Conference will take place on April 27.

RFID in Aerospace Workshop
The RFID in Aerospace Workshop will provide a unique opportunity to understand the fundamentals of RFID technology in relation to the aerospace sector. Participants will take away key learnings in the following subject areas: technology basics (including overviews of physics, hardware and software), business and use cases of RFID for aerospace and defense, and important standards and regulations that are key to effective deployments.

Additionally, participants will learn about aviation-specific applications of RFID and successful in-service evaluations that have been conducted. The workshop will conclude with an understanding of the recently published FAA Advisory Circular, and the AS5678 performance testing standard. This workshop will be taught by industry-recognized technical subject-matter experts. No prerequisites or prior experience are necessary in order to attend.

The Workshop will take place on April 27.
